The WCEA is part of an organization of local government unions known as the Working Assembly of Governmental Employees (WAGE). WAGE offers two college scholarships each year. Applicants must complete their application packet, including an essay, and will be interviewed and qualified under the rules outlined in the packet in the following areas: character, leadership qualities, service to others, financial need, scholastic ability, and initiative.
WCEA members and their qualified dependents are eligible to apply for the scholarships. Those who are eligible and interested in applying should email the completed application and required documents to WCEA Board Member Jake Jensen (jjensen@washoecounty.us). Applications and all associated documents must be received by Jake no later than 4:00pm on May 15, 2021 to be considered for this scholarship.
