Scholarship Information
 

The Washoe County Employees Association awards scholarships each scholastic year to children of WCEA members.

Applications are available here for downloading and are also available at the WCEA office or from WCEA Board members

Each application must include an official sealed transcript and a letter of reference from an educator or employer. Send the completed application, the official sealed transcript and the letter of reference to:

Announcing a scholarship for The Washoe County Employees Association MEMBERS!!!

In addition to the scholarships available to the children of WCEA members. WCEA is giving our members the opportunity to earn a scholarhip. We understand that there are plenty of scholarship opportunities for our children, but what about all the adults going back to school to get degrees and certifications? WCEA would like to help with your college or university tuition. Or, perhaps there is a work-related seminar you would like to take?

A committee will review all applications and select members who will to receive a scholarships for $500.00 (awarded in one lump sum). Please click on the following link to download an application: applications for the WAGE Scholarship.

Also, it is possible for a scholarship winner to be selected to compete in a national competition to get an additional $500.00 scholarship sponsored by WAGE (Working Assembly of Governmental Employees).

Scholarship applications will be accepted from WCEA members only. Applications will not be accepted for dependents. The application does ask for information about the applicants parents or guardian. Unless you are receiving support from your parents or guardian simply mark those questions with "N/A".
